Convert numbers into Korean Sino-Korean and native numerals.
Sino-Korean (한자어 수사)
천이백삼십사
Native Korean (고유어 수사)
Native Korean numerals are only supported up to 99.
Sino-Korean numerals (한자어 수사) are used for dates, money, phone numbers and addresses — mostly abstract or symbolic counting. Native Korean numerals (고유어 수사) are used for counting things and people, for age, and for the hour (e.g. 한 시 = 1 o'clock, 한 개 = 1 item). Minutes use Sino-Korean, so combinations follow established conventions.
Sino-Korean numbers (일, 이, 삼 ...) are used for dates, amounts of money, phone numbers, and so on, while native Korean numbers (하나, 둘, 셋 ...) are used for counting items, ages, hours (o'clock), and the like. This tool shows both readings from a number.
Since native Korean numbers are generally used up to 99, the native reading is omitted for 100 and above, with a note to that effect. Sino-Korean numbers support large numbers as well (만, 억, 조).
